Luke 10:38-42

The Amazing Love of Jesus | Great Big Canvas

In Luke 10:38-42, Jesus visits a village where a woman named Martha opens her home to him. Martha's sister, Mary, sits at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. Martha, "distracted by her many tasks," asks Jesus to tell Mary to help her. Jesus replies: "Martha, Martha, you are worried and distracted by many things; there is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the better part, which will not be taken away from her". Jesus is saying that there is one thing in life worth being seriously concerned about, which is the relationship of the human soul with God.
